Terms of use

These terms govern use of Datalegale’s website, self-assessments, reports and PDFs. By using the site you agree to them. If you unlock a report, you confirm you have authority to submit the work email and company name.

Last updated 1 September 2026. This is not legal advice.

1. Agreement

The parties are you (acting for an organisation) and Datalegale. Related documents: privacy notice and GDPR guidelines. If they conflict on personal data, the privacy notice prevails.

The English text is binding. Interface translations do not change these terms.

2. The service

Datalegale publishes practical guidance on Microsoft 365 Copilot, GDPR and EU data sovereignty, and offers optional self-assessments that produce a score, findings, an action list and a PDF.

  • Knowledge pages are readable without a form
  • A preview score is shown after you answer, before any email
  • The full report and PDF unlock when you submit name, work email and company
  • There is no paid subscription and no service-level agreement in this version

3. Not professional advice

The site, assessments, scores, flags, matrices, PDFs and sample reports are self-assessment tools based on public Microsoft guidance and the method we publish. They are not legal advice, not a DPIA, not a certification, not an audit, and not a substitute for counsel, a DPO or a security assessment of your tenant.

Microsoft product names are used to describe those products. Datalegale is not affiliated with Microsoft. Product behaviour changes; verify settings in your admin centers.

4. Who may use it

The service is intended for professionals acting for an organisation (IT, legal, DPO, security, leadership) in the EU and EEA. It is not a consumer household service and is not for children.

You must have authority to submit the contact details you enter and to use the answers you give. Do not submit another person’s work email to obtain their report.

5. Your answers and reports

You retain whatever rights you have in the answers you type or select. We do not claim ownership of your tenant facts.

You may use the generated report and PDF internally in your organisation, including sharing with advisers under confidentiality. You may not sell the report as a product, present the score as a Datalegale certification, or scrape the questionnaires to build a competing automated service.

6. Our content

Text, structure, scoring method, questionnaires, visual design and PDFs (other than your answers) are Datalegale’s intellectual property or used under licence. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not copy the questionnaires or method as a product.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Probe, overload or disrupt the site
  • Bypass the unlock step with automated harvesting of reports
  • Submit special-category data, secrets, or personal data of people who have not authorised it
  • Use the service to mislead a regulator, board or customer about a tenant you have not assessed
  • Remove watermarks or “internal use / not legal advice” statements from PDFs we generate

8. Availability

We provide the site as available. We may change, pause or withdraw assessments when Microsoft guidance moves. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that a score from last quarter still matches the product.

9. Liability

The service is free. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data, and decisions you take on the basis of a self-assessment score. We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

You are responsible for verifying admin-center settings, for your DPIA, and for residual risk you accept.

10. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in the privacy notice. Unlocking a report emails Datalegale a copy of the request.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the EU Member State in which Datalegale is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections (this service is not offered to consumers) and without prejudice to the GDPR.

Courts of that Member State have jurisdiction, without limiting any right you have to bring a GDPR complaint before a supervisory authority.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will move. Last updated 1 September 2026.
